 When my daughter was 8 - having seizures (and cessation of breathing) from lows
- her then doc referred her to an endo that would put her on a pump as this pedi
clinic would not.....it is the only Children's hospital in our large city with
pedi endos as they are the only ones in the city and they will not see her even
if she is brought to ER...so, we go to another city for her care....they said
'you did not get written permission to leave the practice' - huh?

  I believe it is against medical practice just cause you arent following
orders.
Even though you should be following docs order does not give him the right to
not see you or at least refer u to another endo.
