Re: [IP] Re: Medicare and pump rental

Sue,

There is nothing constructive or for that matter factual about your comments
below. A person receiving Medicare benefits has paid in 2.90% of their
lifetime earnings for this (1.45% of their actual wages and their employer
match which is really part of their wages as well as any employer counts this
as an employee cost). Unfortunately the way our elected representatives have
managed the funds has been less than adequate but to state that you are paying
for it is just not right.....you are paying for your own for which you may
never receive but that is an issue to take up with your representatives.

Medicaid and SSI are an entirely different matter and not even beginning to
touch that one. Short term both are needed. Systemic long-term recipients
probably need to be looked at for alternatives.

Someone earlier lumped VA receipients into this category. I find this
abhorrent. These individuals also paid for these benefits but this payment
was with their bodies. Yes, they volunteered but for those with service
connected disabilities it would be a disgrace to say that these would not be
taken care of by the nation for which they sacrificed. Lots of intricacies
with this one and I do know exactly what they are and how it works.

It is very easy to make your comment in that manner....how about stating a
solution!

We know you don't pay anything for anything. We are paying it for you.
We're tired of hearing it, ok?

I just went against my own rule. Sigh
