I bought the Blood Ketone strips from the chemist (err ... because I knew
they weren't subsidised by NDSS) and they cost $27.95 !!!!!!

Have you lobbied anyone about "the usual" (Pump Consumables/Ketone strips)
???

You do claim them as a tax deduction ? (I think it's 30% reduction) better
than nothing at present.
