I was one of the guninea pigs
testing Detemir.
I found it much better as a long lasting insulin than Isophane.
I didn't have such a bad time with
hypos, still had a few but they
didn 't have the kick of the other
insulin. That was when I was having a 4 a.m. shot.
Must have been nearly 5 years ago before I had the pump which
I have had for coming up 4 years.
It was going through worldwide
testing then but I would recommend it but, of course,
what suits one person doesn't
suit others.
