Re: [IPu] Leaving the "old Site" in at site change Time
Hi again Janette,
Forgot to add that our pump trainer is a pump user herself. I guess things like
leaving the old site in for awhile after the new site has been inserted is like
many aspects of diabetes, what works for one may not for another, and you can
speak to several different people and get several different opinions - which I
think is good cause then you have different options to try for yourself. Anyway
am just loading the link you included so will go and have a read.

Hi Suzanne,
If you go into the main www.insulin-pumpers.org and look up FAQ
"How to tell if my Infusion set is the Cause of my High BGs"
1.6 "You've recently changed your Infusion set" is useful.
Then I suggest copying some of this off and providing it as "light reading"
to your Educator / Endo. It's from the experts (us Pumper users 24/7, 365
days a year). You infuse a small amount of Insulin to fill the new cannula
(rapid) right ? (I use .6 to infuse a new sil / tender / comfort cannula).
Warm Regards,
Janette
(in cold rainy Sydney)
