[IPu] Re: RECALL NOTICE affecting some Paradigm Pumps

I called Medtronic about this today. It is in fact a safety advice NOT A
RECALL. The TGA in Australia and the equivalent in NZ have approved letters
being sent to all Paradigm users advising not to wear a Pump during an MRI
scan (restating usual practice). Letters were sent to users in April / May
this year. The FDA advice is the result of one incident in the US where
someone wore their Pump during an MRI scan. The Pump then "overdelivered
Insulin".
So, as long as the Paradigm user has not worn their Pump thru an MRI things
are fine.
