Re: [IPu] Support

Hi Nicole,

Sorry to hear things aren't that great at the moment, and doesn't that
moment seem to go for ever!!

Have you tried setting your pump for a 10% or more automatic increase,
and just let it sit at this level till you straighten out? Oh no, that
won't help your low's.

Next plan: aren't you suppose to eat more normally to help straighten
out the highs. Have I just invented this idea or have I read it
somewhere? I know personally I cut down my carbs if high, and eat
salads. Anyone else got any ideas? Does protein actually help in
lowering bg's? I think I'm giving you too many questions than anwsers -
sorry.

Have you tested for ketones? This doesn't help things.

Do the lows and highs come at a similar time? Perhaps you need to adjust
your basel rate?

Well, hopefully someone else will have some suggestions.

Don't give up, don't be discouraged - just plod on and on and on. It
WILL come right. I've been there and done that, and it will probably
happen again!

Heather. IDDM 44 years (dx at 4 yrs) and pumping disetronic 3+ years
and off to the general diabetic clinic this afternoon and not looking
forward to it!!
