Yes, I'd be interested, having had this several times. Usually I'm given a 
cortisone injection into the base of the thumb/finger affected, which of 
course, sends the bgs rocketing, if only briefly. I don't always seek help - 
will try rubbing in anti-inflammatory cream which eases things - depends how 
long it lasts and how painful it is.
