Subject: [IP] FW: Insulin pump/Lantus

I can't believe that a doctor said that to you, I am from Turkey even here
it
doesn't happen. If a doctor doesn't know about insulin pump, they are
informed
by medical care officers. I am suprised indeed. You don not need two insulin
if
you use insulin pump. It has bazal section to replace (Lantus) long time
insilun. The doctors need to be informed by medical care officers first I
think.
Then give information to the diabetics. Otherwise events like this will
happen.

She is an internist/pcp/diabetes specialist is the way she is in the yellow
pages. I have been seeing her for 3 years and she has made some comments
about pumping in the past that I knew were not true but this one took the
cake. My problem is, in this neck of the woods you can't get an appointment
with an endo unless your pcp refers you. I might try my cardiologist to see
if he would refer me.

Thanks for all of the input, I didn't think I was totally nuts!
