>>> A 13 year old diabetic girl was the local rep for the Juvenile Diabetes
Meeting in Washington, DC. <snip> This local gal says "NO!" to the pump. Her
doctor has warned her about her high A1Cs and that complications could be
coming. >>>

The best thing for her (since *we* know) is to use the gold standard of DM
care: a pump. But the best encouragement for her without saying a word would
be for her to attend DM camp and see others her age with pumps and their
freedoms and better control. Any brochures available that she could start
saving to attend next summer?

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole
box to start a campfire?
