RE: [IP] !!!!MM TOLD ME THAT THEY WON'T DO A THING REGARDING THE WATER PROBLEM

You would likely have to get a lawyer to write them a letter, however
with the letter you have and the part below in their user guide, I would
say that they should refund your money if you request it. Mainly, it is
good customer service, and there are plenty of Harvard business case
reviews of companies that shot themselves in the foot by not providing
good customer service.

For those that have not seen it, this is the notice from minimed's web
site that says not to use it in water:

Paradigm Infusion Pump Model MMT-511 User Guide

Using the pump in water (page 117)

With the reservoir cap and battery securely in place, your pump can be
used in water for durations of up to 24 hours at depths of up to 8 feet
(2.44 meters). Exposure for durations exceeding 24 hours or to depths
greater than 8 feet should be avoided.

Rinse your pump and tubing connector with clear water after activates
such as swimming and bathing. Allow pump to dry. Avoid exposing the
reservoir compartment or the battery compartment to water. Should they
get wet, however, dry them completely as soon as possible. Wet
reservoirs should not be placed in the pump.

Do not use hot air to dry your pump. This may damage your pump internal
electronics.
