The Paradigm has never been considered waterPROOF only waterTIGHT.  I
myself, have never wanted to test this claim, and after reading all the
recent posts, am glad I didn't.  I don't swim anyway, so it's not an issue
for me, but I've always had a nagging doubt in the back of my mind about
submerging it in any water for any length of time.  If waterPROOF had really
been an important feature for me, I would've gone with the Animas.
