I was diagnosed type 1 at 49 years old 3-1/2 yrs ago. I lost 5 lbs in 5 hrs
before signing myself in to the hospital. My BGs was 687, HbA1c was 17+.

For those that do not know. Type 1 can show up at ANY age (either it be a
born or someone in there late 80's) as can type 2 (if the children or obese
