You are not a bad mommy.  It wasn't really 'you' at all acting like that.
You won't disappoint him.  As he grows older, he'll understand what's
happening.  Please don't beat yourself up about this.  Pumps are great, but
they are no substitute for fully functioning, glucose responsive, insulin
producing cells.
