Whether a pump is paused or not, the computer is still running and 
still creating whatever RFI it creates anyway. You would have to 
remove the batteries and wait about a half hour to make sure it was 
really dead. BTW, don't forget to tell the security people about your 
electronic digital watches :-)  They work basically the same way as 
the pump. Better shut those down too :-))
