Don't choose the pump but what features future pumps from that company might have.  Whoever comes out with a closed loop system first, you can bet it will not work with the current pump models.  You would have to buy a new pump. 

Choose the pump that is right for you. Don't let the doctor dictate what pump you must use.  They all perform the same basic functions, they just have a different interface.  

This is something that YOU will be paying for, YOU will be using, and YOU must be comfortable with.  There was no DOCTOR in that last sentence.
