RE: [IP] No Pump for this Jenn

You absolutely should appeal. My pump was denied 3 times before I was
finally approved. I know the process sucks, but many letters and phone
calls later, I WAS approved. Write a letter to your state insurance
commissioner also. They can get involved and do their own approval process
and then your insurance can be forced into approval also. Get a letter from
your doctor stating why you need the pump, lists of your blood work and
blood sugars also. The more information you can give people, the more they
have to realize what the pump can do.

Subject: [IP] No Pump for this Jenn

Hi All,

I'm bummed.

Got a letter from my health ins. this morning (CommonHealth) saying that the
request for my pump has been denied. I can appeal, but I don't know how
much good it will do. They have been denying all of my meds these days, I
just don't understand it.
