RE: [IP] Upcoming Laser Surgery

HOPEFULLY I CAN EASE YOUR CONCERN. TYPE I DIAGNOSED AUG 71. NO DIABETIC
EYE PROBLEMS OF MAGNITUDE UNTIL MAR 98, SINCE THEN HAVE HAD OVER 36
PROCEDURES ON LEFT EYE. SOME TO SEAL LEAKS, AND OTHERS TO BURN OUT
PROLIFERATION OF CAPILLARIES. I TOO AM RELUCTANT TO HAVE ANYBODY OR
ANYTHING NEAR MY EYES. SO FAR, ALL HAS GONE WELL. BE GLAD YOU HAVE BEEN
DIAGNOSED BEFORE YOU NOTICED ANY PROBLEMS. THE PROCEDURE IS MORE PROACTIVE
THAN REACTIVE IN THAT THEY DO NOT IMPROVE VISION, BUT SLOW DOWN
DEGENERATION. AM NOW WAITING FOR MY NEXT PROCEDURE. THEY LAST SERIES, I
WAS WARNED THAT I WOULD LOSE A LARGE PORTION OF MY LEFT PERIPHERAL VISION.
IF SO, IT HAS NOT BEEN NOTICEABLE TO ME. AM THANKFUL FOR THE PROCEDURE, AND
HOPING FOR A MEDICAL BREAKTHROUGH WHICH WILL RESTORE/IMPROVE MY VISION.
WISH YOU LUCK AND HOPE THAT ALL GOES WELL.
