RE: [IP] Rental or purchase option through Medicare

Hi there,
Just for some more info, Medicare rental for the MM508 is $399.84 (20%
co-pay is therefore $79.90 ) a MONTH, and service/maintenance is $29.71 when
done. Just rechecked Hubby's Medicare Summary Notice. Also at the bottom
of the notice it says,
"c Monthly rental payments can be made for up to 15 months from the first
paid rental month or until the equipment is no longer needed, whichever
comes first."

Hi Michelle:
I just got my notice from MM as well yesterday.

The way I look at it, if you rent it, then you don't have to pay for the
service if something happens to your pump. Medicare will get billed $300 a
year for it, whether you use it or not and you only have to pay the 20%.
