Re: [IP] Stem Cell research?

I don't think this has been posted before. Nine of the limited Bush-allowed
stem cells are owned by a company called CyThera (www.cytheraco.com) whose
objective, according to their website, is summarized as follows:

====================
CyThera has nine embryonic stem cell derivations that meet the White House
criteria for federal funding and which have therefore been placed on the NIH
registry."

"We're pleased to have our derivations placed on the registry so promptly,"
said Lutz Giebel, PhD, Cythera's Chief Scientific Officer. "This will enable
us to proceed with our characterization of these derivations on our original
schedule and continue our current research focus on developing islet-like
cell clusters for treating diabetes."
