If you are referring to James Anderson, MD, this information is related to
management of Type 2.  While this may be useful for Type 2's and a healthy
recommendation for all people with DM, let's not deceive anyone with Type 1
that all bran type products will lower the blood glucose. People with Type 1
need insulin to live.

The glycemic index from Dr. Anderson is a useful tool for some people with
DM.
