Here is what seems to work for me with pizza,

I bolus for 25gm carb for each piece when I eat, then run a temp basal 0.2 
above normal for 6 hours. (this is if I may be eating something else during 
that 6 hour time so I can bolus for that)  If I am eating late and don't plan 
to eat anything else during that 6 hours, I run a square wave for 1.2 units 
over 6 hours.

As usual, YMMV, but this works for me.
