I think it's more the guy thing of refusing to ask for directions....."I'll
Move this boulder for ya, honey, AR, AR, AR!  But don't ask fer directions!
They'll know we're lost!"...
Guys are more into the physical end of helping out, but to ask for money
seems to embarrass them...My BF will put out petitions and will pass around
the Christmas catalogue thingey, but will not actually approach anyone face
to face other then 2-3 close friends.  It took me to ask him if his pride
was worth more than my remaining eyesight or kidneys...He does as I ask now,
re; fundraising...
