Kids are capable of all kinds of weird 'potty' stunts. Like holding 
their bowels for a week or more, etc... She will out grow this and it 
probably has nothing whatever to do with diabetes.

Just my 0.02 cents worth as an experienced (tired) parent of 5 whose 
kids did stunts like this also.
