[IP] Question....treating lows at mealtime

I've read here that most of you treat for a low at mealtime, then eat and 
bolus for the meal.  Does it work the same if you just bolus LESS for that 
meal?  Let's say you test at 68, when your target is 90, and your insulin to 
carb ratio is 1:10.  If you will be eating 80 carbs, instead of bolusing 8 
units, could you bolus 8 units MINUS however many carbs it takes to up your 
68 bg to 90?
