I'm using the equivalent of the dual wave. Even though there is a lot of
fat in brownies (or pizza), there are a lot of carbs too -- and the
carbs do get going quickly. 

So the regular part of the bolus covers the peak from  the carbs for me,
and the extended part keep my BGs from rising again after they've
initially come down.

The trick is to determine what fraction of the bolus should go regular
and what fraction should go extended and for how long-- for me it's
about half and half, with the extended part lasting 4 hours, BUT that
doesn't mean it would be the same for anyone else!
