Re: [IP] Need some advice!!!!

Hi Sue:

Here in Canada - you do not need a perscription for the pump. Well,
let's just say in my position, the Minimed rep. knows my endo. and he realizes
that I am legit, so maybe that's why I don't need a perscription. I am paying
for the pump out of my own pocket. The cost here in Fredericton, New
Brunswick, is $4800.00. With minimed you are able to finance it for 24 months
- no interest. That is if you put half down. That makes life alittle easier.
It is totally tax deductible. My husband is self employed so that helps out
with our taxes some. I ordered the pump yesterday. Now I am really excited and
scared. I can't wait to have my life back.
The main reason why I ordered the pump before I see the endo. is
because I want to know the pump inside out so that I can (hopefully) avoid
being hospitilized. With 2 kids it makes being hospitilized almost impossible.
I can travel back and forth to St. John Hospital in about 11/2 hours.to get
taught as a outpatient. Oct.13/98 is my big day. I will be an official pumper.
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep in touch,
