Sue..I have several patients who needed to fast for various tests. If the
basal rates you currently have maintain your BG, then you should be OK.  If
you plan to have any tests that involve physical exertion, then a temporary
basal reduction would be useful. If you have "Pumping Insulin" there is a
discussion about temporary reductions.  If you know where your pump manual is
located, then the directions to access the appropriate screen and directions
on how to lower the rate should be there.  Take glucose tabs with you anyway,
just to be prepared.
