Born in 1951, dx'd in 1957 (at the age of 5).  Grew normally (I'm 6'0" and 
weigh 160).  This was back in the dark ages when there was NO control 
methods worth a darn (1 shot a day and tested the urine, which showed what 
your BG was 4 hours ago).
