[IP] RE: caffeine and glucose raising?

>>to counter act the adrenaline and epinephrine, (two
different hormones, I've
been told) ...<<

Not true. This is the same hormone. Caffeine stimulates the
release of it.

"EPINEPHRINE - A hormone produced by the adrenal medulla in
mammals. It can be produced synthetically for medical
purposes. Also known as ADRENALINE. Epinephrine is secreted
by the adrenal medulla in response to low blood glucose,
exercise, and stress. Epinephrine causes a breakdown of
glycogen to glucose in the liver, encourages the release of
fatty acids from adipose tissue, causes vasodilation of the
small arteries within muscle, and increases cardiac output.

>>Are there any studies that give more help on how to
control these hormones when under stress besides relaxation
techniques? Does anyone know if certain people have out of
control adrenal

If you can use the internet "search" function of your
computer, search for each of these words, and also cortisol,
stress management, and conditions of the adrenal gland. The
hormones noted (epinephrine and cortisol) are two of the
"counter-regulatory hormones" that have an influence on
glucose metabolism.
