I wish the new BD one that came with the 512 had a backlight. If anyone else
has this with the 512 , there could be a problems with the battery. Mine was
going down so I replaced it with the lithium 2450. The next day it went low
battery again. Thought I had a bad battery. Replaced again. Same thing . I
called Medtronic's and they immediately patched me over to BD and I was
informed this might be happening due to an internal battery. They are fed ex
one immediately. Good service from Medtronic and BD. Plus they are sending
me 3 new batteries for my inconvenience. If you have this meter with your
512 , you may or may not ever experience this
