Re: [IP] Backup pump vs meter - was: My Bad One Touch Ultra Experience

My son was diagnosed while we were on vacation in Italy. They definitely
have meters and strips. The strips I purchased here were not compatible
with the meter that I was given in Italy - a OneTouch EuroFlash which was
basically a FastTake. Apparently the polarity was different. I don't know
if this is true for all meters over there. But I do know that if you need
supplies or medical help in Europe, you shouldn't have a problem. Scott was
diagnosed in DKA and I've been told by doctors here that the Italian doctors
did a tremendous job treating him.
