RE: [IP] food digestion time?

After a long time of trial and error in regards to Mexican food (my
favorite)... I was finally successful in keeping my bgs in control after
using the DUAL Bolus..I always have to take a total of 8 units.... 5 units
immediately and 3 units over the next 2 hours.

I have to use the DUAL also when eating pizza and pastas...I just dont have
the specific doses as I do with the Mexican food, since I eat more Mexican
than anything...

I use 1 unit of insulin for every 15 grams of carbs. I use between 20 to 25
units a day in total.

If you have had DM for more than a few years you can get neuropathy and it
can slow digestion because of damage to the nerves to the stomach and
intestine. Diabetic enteropathy I don't think it was the tomatoes. More
delay can occur because of fat and protein both of which require more time.
