Re: [IP] Diabetes

There is a comment I make to people who say things like "How can you stand
to do that everyday" I just look them straight in the eye and say "I don't
have a choice" . I do have one choice though I can choose to go through
our life (which has become very precious to me since D) kicking, screaming
and crying-or I can accept what I cannot change and make the best of it.

I've already lived through all the kicking and screaming and nothing changed
except to waste precious moments of my life but then again I do believe it
was a process I had to go through kinda like a mourning period. I feel it
is my responsibility to myself and my family (my family also suffers because
of my having this disease)to show them strength and enjoy life for as long
as I can. I don't want to be a burdon to them. After all it isn't fair to
expect anyone else to live my life-I'm the one who has to do that. I am
however only human and allow myself bad days.
