But, to answer Carol's question, the square-wave bolus allows you to spread 
out your bolus over a period of time. The dual-wave allows you to program a 
bolus that gives you part of your insulin right now and the rest spread out. 
For example, if you eat a couple of pieces of pizza, you could program your 
pump to give you part of your bolus now to handle the initial carb intake and 
spread the remainder out over, say, a 4-hour period to handle the slower carb 
absorption rate caused by the fat.
