[IP] Letting them

Hate to break it to ya guys, but they aren't growing up because you are 
letting them.  They're gonna do it whether you let them or not.  Whether or 
not they learn to tie their own shoes at 4 or 7, read at 6 or 10, change 
their own set at 8 or 12,  it is not a race and they should be allowed to do 
it in their own time.  We as caretakers need to allow them their individual 
pace, supporting and nudging gently when needed yet honoring their style and 
certainly not comparing.  The goal is a grounded, whole happy individual when 
they set off.  They rarely go away to college in diapers!  Holly
