Hi Laura,

The ELA-Max cream that we use is 4% lidocaine.  It's supposed to work faster 
than the EMLA cream and in theory with less irritation.  The research I was 
reading was based on the cream being used on people having plastic surgery on 
their faces and the ELA-Max was used to numb the area.
