Re: [IP] Reply_Medical specialists: a funny story

The same thing happened to me about 5 years after I went on the pump. I went
back to my doctor who handled my late teen and early twenty years. It kind
of ticked me off since about two years before I was told by a life insurance
company they were denying me because my doctor had written in my chart that I
was "denying my diabetes".

Weird thing was, in 1978 I came back from being a counselor at a diabetes
camp and went to him to get an Ames Glucometer. The wet wash blood testing
system (ancient history) and to switch me to two shots a day. At the time I
was taking such a huge shot of NPH before breakfast I was big time bombing
out about 4 pm each and every day.
