[IP] Surgery involving Diathermy ?

Hi All,

Having some abdominal surgery next week and have asked about leaving my Pump
on.

But it is being suggested that having Diathermy (heat probe used for sealing
bleeding in surgery) could not be done with a Pump on ... (that the heat
would "short out" the Pump).

Anyone  had surgery involving Diathermy ?  I'd be interested to know what
your experiences were ...
