[IP] New Animas Pump
Hello there,
I haven't been active in this group in ages, but I thought I'd check in with
all of you pumping experts on something. I just started on the new Animas/One
Touch Ping pump (previously on Cozmo, then before that on the Animas R1000).
I got trained on it last night, but I'm just a little confused about
something. Does the pump actually calculate IOB when it suggests bolus
amounts? It seems like it was allowing me to stack boluses even when my BG
was included in the calculations. Can anyone just confirm that it does, in
fact, calculate IOB (and correction boluses???) when suggesting a bolus
amount? Also - does it seem strange that it doesn't allow me to dose a
partial basal amount when I disconnect for showers, etc.?? My Cozmo had a
feature that allowed me to bolus a percentage of the basal missed during times
when I disconnect, but this pump doesn't seem to have that feature. Do other
pumpers bolus a tiny big when disconnecting for a shower? Or do you not worry
about it?
