RE: [IP] Setting off Alarms at Wal-Mart?

I wondered about that so we actually went into the store through the exit
without the purse/meter etc and the alarm went off. Also, the clothing that
was worn is not new so I know that any tags on the clothing had been
deactivated. I also spoke to another family in our area who are having the
same problem.

I am now waiting to hear back from the anti theft system company.

This would not be caused by your pump. The anti theft systems use a RF tag

(usually paper thing circuit) that is disabled when it is passed over a

magnetic plate at the register. Something must not have been deactivated. If

you receive your supplies (strips) mail order or at a pharmacy that does not

disable the tag and are carrying them they will set off the devices at any

store that uses them.

Does any one have a problem with their pump setting off the alarms when they

are leaving Wal-Mart or other stores?

This just started happening a week ago so I don't know if they have

increased the sensitivity for the holiday season but it is really

embarrassing.
