RE: [IP] Prednisone

May I refer you to page 134 of Pumping Insulin item #7, it discusses the use
of Prednisone. First para. Last sentence, re: basals/boluses "some of which
were 4-5 times those normally used"

This sure does sound kinda high. Is this upcoming use mandatory? I had the
flu back in September and in lieu of prednisone tablets I was given a
Prednisone inhaler. It did take a little longer but did work with minimal
Affect on the BG's.

When there is no other choice but to take a round of prednisone, is there
any basic formula to use, such as increasing the basals a certain
percentage? I realize we're all different but would be interested to know if
there is basic information on this anywhere. Thanks.
