[IP] Low Carb Beer and Drinking

I stopped drinking a couple of years ago. Now I'm lucky if I can get
down 1 or 2 drinks at a time. However, when I was drinking, low-carb
beers were the least of my concern. I was only interested in how much I
liked the taste of the beer, so I could get down as much as possible in
the shortest amount of time. (Yeah, I liked to party.) Also, although
I was bodybuilding and concerned about extra weight, I was working out
about 5 days a week, and living on a high calorie, high protein diet.
When I went out, I was usually dancing a lot, so that burned some of the
extra calories from the beer I consumed.

FWIW, I believe Michelob Ultra is the lowest carb beer on the market
now, with Miller Lite and Coors Lite close seconds.

Best Wishes,

P.S. For more information about diabetes and alcohol, see my post on IP.
(Or you can ask me anything directly.)

Not that this is an issue for my son at the present time, but do any of
you drink the low-carb beers that are out now? My daughter does just to
watch her weight (and so the boys watch her waist! ;-D )
