I can certainly understand facing a $50 Co-payment for an ER visit with no
admission.

Short of learning to do an IV yourself, you can have Veronica drink just as
much as she can to hydrate herself orally instead of intravenously.

I am not a doctor and I do not play one on television.  YMMV.  I would also
carefully and closely monitor her ketone and bg levels while you are doing
this.  If Veronica's levels are not going in the direction you would like to
see them going, don't hesitate to take her to the ER!
