I also use the 6mm Quicksets with the Quickserter and had some problems with
kinked cannulas when I first started pumping. A couple people on the list
suggested I do the following:
1. When I insert, I make sure to press down really well on the Quickserter
before removing it.
2. Then I push in on the introducer needle a few times before removing that
as well. I think this somehow "sets" the cannula.
Since doing the above, I haven't had a kinked cannula in over a year. I
also prefer to use my hips, thighs, and lower abdomen (rarely). The area
you're describing sounds like it might be too close to your belt line. For
me, there's too much bending and twisting going on there which could kink
