[IP] type 2's getting DKA, was Re: Halle Berry again

It's not a dumb question! Yes, from what I've read, *some* type
2's *can* go into DKA but it isn't typical. Type 1's typically go
into DKA and Type 2's typically go into HHNK (Hyperosmolar
Hyperglycemic Nonketotic Coma), which is equally serious. BUT,
there is some crossover in symptoms between DKA and HHNK (ie:
*some* people, regardless of type, have features of both)
sometimes making the exact diagnosis of one or the other
difficult. Hope this helps!

2?  I've been under the impression this only happens to Type 1's,
but I really don't know.
