Re: [IP] Hot tubs

>From Page 43 of "Pumping Insulin" 3rd edition.
"Heat can make proteins like insulin harden. The heat found in most saunas
and some hot tubs can turn an enjoyable experience into high blood sugars
and ketoacidosis. If your infustion set disconnects, disconnect before
entering. If your set does not detach, remove the whole apparatus while in a
hot tub or sauna and use a new set afterward. Recent research has shown that
using a hot tub can lower blood sugars, so watch your blood sugar carefuly
during and afterward."
