[IP] tubing insulin

From: "Notha" <email @ redacted>
Subject: [IP] insulin in tubing
How much insulin is in the tubing, say the 31 inch line etc? When you set
your pump volume, this is not going to be insulin that is used right? I am
somewhat confused about this.
If you draw 150 units into the reservoir and then manually prime for the
tubing, you still show 150 units in your volume, right? So it is not
allowing for this insulin in your tubing that will not be used?
Maybe I am not seeing this correctly.

You don't add the insulin in your tubing since the pump can't deliver it
unless you suck it into the reservoir and put air behind it - sometimes a
maneuver for an emergency when you run out of rocket fuel
