I would go with the higher version, to get the improved functionality.
Usually what comes after the version is the cookbook name that comes with
the software.  I have used this program for years and love it.  It gives
complete nutritional values for whatever recipes you type in/it has.  If you
want to learn more, check out their website
http://www.sierra.com/sierrahome/cooking/.  FYI, I bought my software at
Price Club (Costco).  I don't remember the price, but I thought it was
pretty good.

Checking Amazon.com, I find three versions of software called MasterCook.
The two that look most likely are Mastercook 5.0 Cooking Light, and
MasterCook 4.0 Express.

Is either of these the one you all are talking about, which gives
nutritional values for recipes you type in?
