I definitely do recommend glucagon, but only for when someone is
unconscious.  If the medical personel are available however and an IV can be
placed, D50 is the first choice.  Oral CHOs should always be the first
consideration for the conscious (not seizing) diabetic.  So, in the case of
someone discovering they had accidently infused a large amount of humalog, I
would not recommend taking a glucagon injection, but instead try ingesting a
large amount of CHOs.
